We are sorry to announce the passing of Samuel Newman z”l, a Holocaust survivor, husband of Sidi Newman, father of Bruce (Rose Z’l), Mitchell and Jeffrey Newman. Grandfather of Adina (SAR faculty) and (Ari) Shrage, Avi (Liz) Newman, Daniel (Naomi) Newman and Zev (Becca) Newman. Great grandfather of Ayelet (12th grade), Noam (9th grade), Liat (5th grade), Orly (2nd grade), Adele, Natalie, Eva, Livia, Rosie and Samantha.
Sam was a Holocaust survivor who endured the horrors of Auschwitz until he was finally liberated.
The funeral will be held graveside at Westlawn Cemetery 1:30pm followed by the burial at 7801 W Montrose Ave Norridge, IL 60706.

Shiva will resume at 6pm on Thursday in Stamford, CT at the home of Bruce Newman 17 Fieldstone Lane Stamford, CT 06902.
