We are sorry to announce the passing of Maxine Thau z"l, beloved mother of Andrea Thau (John Lieberman), Brian (Penny) Thau and Steven (Danielle) Thau and grandmother of Francesca (Daniel Goldstein), Charles, Micaela and Abigail Thau,
Evan and Richard Lieberman, Aryeh (Chassya) Thau, AZ (Hadassah) Thau and Racheli (Akiva) Bedziner.
The funeral will take place Wednesday, August 2nd at 12:45 pm at the Riverdale Jewish Center - 3700 Independence Ave., Bronx, NY - followed by burial at Mt Zion Cemetery - 59-63 54th Ave., Maspeth, NY.
The family will sit shiva at 611 West 239th Street Apt. 6A, Bronx, NY from Wednesday through Thursday night:
Wed. 6-10 pm and Thurs. 7:45 am - 10 pm excluding 6-7 pm
Shacharit will be at 7:45 am and Mincha and Maariv at 8 pm
Steven will continue sitting shiva at his home - 142 East Lane in Stamford - from Friday morning until 3 pm and resume Saturday night at 9:30-11 pm and Sunday through Tuesday morning following shacharit.
Shacharit: Friday, Monday and Tuesday at 7 am
Sunday at 8 am
Mincha/Maariv at 7:45pm
No visits requested between 6-7 pm and after 10 pm.
Andrea and Brian will continue to sit shiva from Friday until 1 pm in Riverdale and then at Andrea’s home - 145 East 84th Street, New York, New York.
Brian will return to Israel and sit the final day at his home in Beit Shemesh
May Steven, Andrea and Brian be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
