We are sorry to announce the passing of Mendel (Mel) Klapper, Yosef Menachem Ben Yeshua Heschel, just shy of his 95th birthday, beloved father of Joshua (Carla) Klapper, Philip (Elissa) Klapper and Debbie (David) Seltzer, grandfather to Elliot (Ilisa) Klapper, Natalie (Simmy) Richton, Hannah and Sally Klapper, Jennifer (Elliot) Kollander, Amanda (Allon) Waltuch, Evan (Ariella) Seltzer, Michael (Ilana) Seltzer and 22 great-grandchildren.
Philip will be sitting the full week of Shiva at the home of Debbie and David Seltzer - 10 Sterling Place, Lawrence, NY 11559. Davening Shacharit Monday 8am, Tuesday to Thursday 7am. Mincha/Maariv 5:20.
In lieu of visits, contributions may be made to Congregation Agudath Sholom or the Friends of the IDF in Mel's memory.
